Alpha House System

Alpha House System

At Alpha G.K. Matriculation Higher Secondary School, we believe in the spirit of healthy competition, team spirit, leadership, and mutual respect. To nurture these values, we have established a dynamic House System, designed to help students develop a strong sense of identity, belonging, and purpose.

Our House System is uniquely crafted with inspiration from the wisdom of ancient Greek and Roman scholars. The first letters of our five Houses spell “ALPHA”, symbolizing our pursuit of Excellence, Truth, and Character.

Purpose of the House System

The ALPHA House System is more than just a structure — it’s a way of life at school. Each student is assigned to a house at the time of admission and remains in that house throughout their schooling years. Inter-house competitions and programs are held throughout the year in the fields of:

  • Sports & Athletics
  • Music & Dance
  • Debates, Elocution & Quiz
  • Art & Craft
  • Drama & Skits
  • Community Service & Environmental Projects

House System Benefits

  • Fosters teamwork and camaraderie
  • Provides leadership opportunities
  • Encourages active participation
  • Promotes discipline and sportsmanship
  • Builds school spirit and unity

Each house is led by student captains and vice-captains, mentored by dedicated teachers who act as House Advisors. Through the ALPHA House System, students learn to lead, collaborate, compete with honor, and celebrate collective success.

“In the spirit of ALPHA, every student is a leader in the making.”
